Apple Released iOS 14.7 Update

Apple has officially released iOS 14.7 to the public and the list of devices that will support this update is given below.

(Supported Devices - iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE 2, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max.)

If your previous version was iOS 14.6 then iOS 14.7 update size may be around 1 GB.

If you are a Beta Tester then remove the beta profile and reboot your device to see the public release update of iOS 14.7 is available or not.

Apple has also released watchOS 7.6, tvOS 14.7, HomePod OS 14.7, macOS Big Sur 11.5 RC2 with iOS 14.7 but iPadOS 14.7 has not been released with these updates.

iOS 14.7 update's build number is 18G69.

iOS 14.7 has a new Modem Firmware Update.

What's New?

  • iOS 14.7 adds support for the new MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12 Series devices.
  • Apple Card Family adds the option to combine credit limits and share accounts with an existing Apple Card user.
  • You can now set a Timer on a HomePod in the Home app with iOS 14.7.
  • Weather can now display Air Quality information in Canada, France, Italy, Netherlands, South Korea, and Spain.
  • You can now display just your followed PodCasts or All within the PodCasts app.


Fixed issues

  • iOS 14.7 fixes an issue where the option to share a playlist may not appear properly.
  • iOS 14.7 resolved an issue where music would unexpectedly stop when playing Dolby Atmos or Apple Lossless Music.
  • On iPhone 11 the Service Battery message could disappear after rebooting. (Fixed)
  • iOS 14.7 resolves an issue where Braille displays could show invalid information while composing messages in Mail.
  • iOS 14.7 fixes an issue where Audio could skip when using USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapters with iPad.
  • iSO 14.7 fixes a WiFi bug where an SSID with specific characters would cause network settings to no longer work.
