Advanced Tips
Hard Pity: Guaranteed 5-star at 90 pulls (character banner) or 80 pulls (weapon banner).
Soft Pity: Dramatically increased rates starting at pull 74. Most players get 5-stars between pulls 75-85.
50/50 System: First 5-star has 50% chance to be featured character. If you lose, next 5-star is 100% guaranteed to be featured.
Pity Carries Over: Your pity count continues to the next banner of the same type (character/weapon). Use this to your advantage!
4-Star Pity: Guaranteed 4-star every 10 pulls. Also has 50/50 for featured vs standard.
Daily Sources (~2,700 per month F2P):
- Daily Commissions: 60 primos × 30 days = 1,800
- HoYoLAB Check-in: ~60 primos/month
- Daily activities & exploration: ~300/month
- Welkin Moon (if purchased): 2,700 additional
Regular Sources (~3,000+ per patch):
- Spiral Abyss: 600 primos (reset every 2 weeks)

Good Reasons to Pull:
- You genuinely love the character's design/personality
- Character fills a critical gap in your roster
- You have enough saved for guarantee (180 pulls)
- Character is proven meta after community testing
Red Flags - Don't Pull:
- FOMO - "everyone else is pulling"
- You already have a strong main DPS in that element
- Character requires specific 5-star weapons/teammates you lack
- Leaked info shows your dream character coming in 1-2 patches
- You're pulling "just for the 4-stars" (bad value)
Pro Tip: Wait 2-3 days after banner launch to see showcase videos and community consensus before pulling!
For F2P/Low Spenders:
- C0 is enough for 99% of characters - focus on variety
- Exception: Support characters with game-changing C1/C2 (Kazuha C2, Raiden C2, Furina C2)
- NEVER chase constellations at expense of new characters
For Dolphin Spenders:
- C1 often gives quality-of-life improvements
- C2 is typically the biggest power spike
- C3+ is usually whale territory with diminishing returns
4-Star Constellations:
- Many 4-stars need C4-C6 to shine (Faruzan, Gorou)
- Don't pull on 5-star banner just for 4-stars
- They'll come home eventually through standard banner & events
Mora Management:
- Level 90 a character costs ~3 million mora
- Talent 9→10 costs ~700k mora per talent
- Run Leylines during double rewards events only
- Don't level characters to 90 unless they scale off HP/DEF or you really love them
Resin Efficiency:
- Prioritize: Artifacts > Talent Books > Weapon Materials > Character EXP
- Don't farm artifacts until AR45 (guaranteed 5-star drops)
- Use resin on events first (better value than domains)
- Save fragile resin for artifact farming or emergencies
Long-term Planning:
- Keep a spreadsheet of characters you want + required primos
- Factor in upcoming reruns based on banner history
- Save extra for "accidents" (early 5-star pull ruining pity)
- Account for ~60 pulls per patch as F2P, ~90 with Welkin+BP
- Building pity on wrong banner: Only pull on banners where you'd be happy with the 5-star
- Pulling on standard banner: Save your primos for limited banners only. Use free fates from BP/Ascensions
- Converting primos to acquaint fates: Never do this. Limited character banners are where value is
- Ignoring the weapon banner: Weapon banner requires 240 pulls for guarantee. Only pull if you're ok with either weapon
- Leveling too many characters: Focus on 8-10 characters max. Quality > quantity
- Wasting primos on resin: Buying resin with primos is terrible value. Save for wishes
- Not checking banner details: Always verify the featured 4-stars. Avoid if you have them C6
- Pulling last day of banner: Give yourself time to farm more if needed. Pull early in banner period
Optimal Daily Routine (15-30 min)
Morning Routine
Claim Welkin Moon (90 primos), do HoYoLAB check-in (varies), collect expedition rewards and send new ones (20 hours for max Mora).
Core Activities
Complete 4 daily commissions (60 primos), spend 160 resin (domains/leylines), do reputation quests weekly.
Twice Monthly
Clear Spiral Abyss floors 9-12 (600 primos). Resets 1st and 16th of each month. Imaginarium Theater also resets monthly.
Don't Forget
Check mail for expiring codes, run weekly bosses (3 discounted), buy from teapot traveling salesman, claim battle pass rewards.
Value Guide (If You Spend)
- Welkin Moon ($5/month): 3,000 primos = 18.75 pulls. Best value at $0.27 per pull
- Battle Pass ($10): ~10 pulls + weapon + materials. Good if you play regularly
- First-time Top-up Bonuses: Double crystals on first purchase of each tier. One-time only
- Special Packs (Anniversary/Events): Better than standard crystal shop
- Standard Crystal Shop: Worst value. $1 = ~0.5 pulls. Only if desperate
