| Where can you get Fastag? |
Fastag is now mandatory to pay toll tax on National Highways so if your vehicle does not have FASTag you will have to pay the double toll. After hearing this news, I think all the people must have bought FASTag and if you haven't bought FASTag yet, buy it soon.
(Let me tell you in a nutshell what a Fastag is - then the Fastag is attached to your vehicle and as you pass a toll booth, the Fastag is automatically scanned and the toll money is deducted. Now in each Fastag RFID {the Radio-frequency identification device} is attached.)
Now the National Highways Authority of India has made FASTag compulsory on National Highways to reduce the long line at toll booths.
The question in the minds of many people is where to buy FASTag?
So you can buy FASTag from NH fee plazas, RTOs, common service centers, transport hubs, petrol pumps (which are points of sale from NHAI), etc.
Now the question arises how do we know which POS (point of sale) is closest to you?
So you have three ways to do that.
1. NHAI's Official Website - www.ihmcl.com (From this website you can get FASTag .)
2. By downloading the My fastag app, you can see inside the app which fastag's POS is near you.
3. Call the 1033 helpline number and it will give you the address of the nearest POS according to your location.
