What are New Features and changes?
- Older wallpaper now has the option to download it.
- Low Power Mode has been added to Mac.
- In the future version of macOS Monterey, you will be able to erase all content and settings.
- There is a new Password Manager with 2-factor authentication built in.
- macOS Monterey will let you know when the mic is in use.
- Focus modes have been added just like iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.
- Notifications have been redesigned with a new look and more options.
- Universal Control will allow you to seamlessly use one mouse, trackpad, or keyboard between Mac and iPad.
- You can now AirPlay directly to a Mac.
- Shortcuts have been added in macOS 12.
- There is now a shared folder for all the documents you use when collaborating with others.
- You can now keep the Menu bar on top at all times when using Apps in full screen.
- Safari gets a redesign with Tab Group and more.
- Quick Notes has been added to macOS 12.
- Tags have been added to Notes and Reminders.
- Dictation is now on the device and no longer has a 60-sec limit.
- Maps have been updated with new details, a globe, and more but some features are limited to Apple's Silicon-based Macs.
- Visual lookup has been added to macOS Monterey which allows you to look up words and photos.
- Translate is now system-wide.
- You can now feature a person less in Memories or Featured Photos.
- Memories have been updated with better visuals, filters, and more.
- Live Text has been added which allows for macOS to recognize text in any photo or image.
- Screen recording does not work when using FaceTime.
- You can now invite others to a FaceTime call on any device with a web browser including Android and Windows.
- You can now watch a video or listen to music together when on FaceTime using a new feature called SharePlay.
- There are new view options in FaceTime as well as portrait video on M1 or Apple Silicon Mac.
- Messages will now group photos and make them easier to save.
- Messages add many Memoji options.
- Voiceover gets updates to better understand photos, text, and more.
