The Galaxy S10e is the smallest and lightest phone among the three models of the Galaxy S10-series. This handset of the Samsung brand weighs 150 grams. It is 0.1 millimeters thicker than the others. We really liked the size of this phone. The Galaxy S10e fits comfortably in the hand and its curved edges are not rough at all.The aluminum and glass back panel has a slight smoothness to it, so be careful when using the phone with one hand as it can slip through the other hand. The Galaxy S10e has a Bixby button. If you want, you can set a double-press or single-press action to open the app or take the help of Bixby. The premium handset of the Galaxy S10 model has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, but on the other hand, the Galaxy S10e has a standard capacitive sensor integrated into the power button on the right side of the phone.
It is very sensitive, even with a quick touch, it unlocks the phone. You can also enable gestures to easily access the notification shade. It works correctly but we found the power button placement slightly up. We had some difficulty in accessing it even though the phone was being held normally.
Samsung Galaxy S10e has a 5.8-inch full-HD + dynamic AMOLED display. The resolution is slightly lower than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +. Its pixel density is 438 PPI. Samsung has not removed the HDR 10+ certification for the display, which means you can enjoy high dynamic range colors incompatible videos. The default color profile makes the color slightly saturated, but you can switch to the natural color profile if you want.
If we talk about the biggest difference in design, then the Galaxy S10e does not have a curved display edge on the right and left sides. Samsung's flagship model is undoubtedly an affordable smartphone but its specification is not low-end at all. In India, the Galaxy S10e has been introduced with the 8 nm octa-core Samsung Exynos 9820 processor. But it has only one variant which comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Its 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variants are also available in the international market.Talking about other specifications, it includes a Hybrid Dual-SIM slot, Gigabit LTE, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 AX (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, four satellite navigation systems, and a USB Type-C port.
The Galaxy S10e features Dolby Atmos with AKG-tuned stereo speakers. The phone has IP68 certification which protects it from dust and water and apart from this, the phone has many sensors. Samsung Galaxy S10e's performance, camera, and battery life
The phone size is very accurate when used with one hand. To reach the notification panel, you will have to stretch your hand slightly. There is a punch-hole on the front panel of the phone, in which the selfie camera has got a place. The fingerprint sensor works correctly but is capacitive. It will not work if your fingers are wet or grassy. You do not need to press the power button, only a simple touch will unlock the phone.In the previous Galaxy S model, the company had given an iris scanner, but this time perhaps due to lack of space in the punch-hole, this feature did not get space in the phone. The phone has face recognition support but it is not as good as Apple Face ID as it identifies authentication or says with the help of a selfie camera. It works correctly, with the help of the screen brightness on the face in low-light, it makes facial recognition easier.
Like both other Galaxy S10 models, it also has good general app and UI performance. Despite having 2 GB less RAM than both other models on the phone, we did not see a big difference in the benchmark number. On normal usage, we found that the sides of the phone get slightly warmer. Many times the phone feels a little hot even when downloading apps from the play store. If you put a case on the phone, you will not even know about it.
PUBG Mobile and other games run correctly on the phone. Due to the powerful processor and low-screen resolution, the Galaxy S10e manages the game easily even on high settings. The framerate is smooth and with the help of One UI Game Launcher, you can enable Dolby Atmos during gaming.
Amoled display is very good for viewing content. Streaming apps such as Netflix and Prime video automatically set the video to the punch-hole area upon zooming. Stereo speakers also make louder sounds. Like both other models, the Galaxy S10e has similar front and rear cameras. It does not have only a telephoto sensor. The performance of the phone is also similar.
In daylight, the phone captures details accurately in landscape and macro mode. Its dynamic range and colors are also good. Scene optimizer automatically identifies objects such as T-shirts etc. and also helps to improve the picture. The detail was captured well in macro mode and the exposure was also handled correctly.
The camera app can be used easily. Several modes are provided for photos and videos. A wide-angle sensor proves to be extremely useful for capturing more things in the frame. Live Focus works well and edge detection also works well in it. You can also add a background blur effect if you want.
The Galaxy S10e's selfie camera will see a large improvement compared to the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9-series. The Samsung Galaxy S10E has a 10-megapixel front camera. The Galaxy S10E does not have an RGB depth sensor, but still, it detects the edge correctly in a selfie.
Video recording is also not compromised on the Galaxy S10e. Like other expensive models, this phone is also capable of recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second. Apart from this, you will also get a super slow-mo video mode with the help of which you can record videos at 960 frames per second.
The video quality was good in daylight. Stabilization is also well handled and noise control remains in low-light as well. The Galaxy S10e has a 3,100 mAh battery. After using the camera, watching videos, surfing the internet, and using chat apps, the phone was supported for 17 to 18 hours. The good thing is that the charger that comes with the phone charges the battery faster.
The phone had a 5 percent battery when we charged the phone, and in an hour the phone was charged 95 percent, which is an excellent thing. The phone also supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging with a compatible wireless charger. In our HD video loop test, the Galaxy S10e played for 10 hours and 31 minutes, which may be slightly better.
